Nurse Sheltee's Biography
Sheltee Felton is a Florida native, registered nurse (RN), and Amazon best-selling author. Her book, “Nursing During the Outbreak: What I Saw, What I Felt, and Why I Chose to Stay,” was released and April 29, 2021. Her debut literary work ranked the #1 New Release in Emergency Nursing and the #2 best seller in the same category. It was released just in time for National Nurses Week (May 6th – May 12th).
She is a registered nurse with more than 10 years of healthcare experience. Nurse Sheltee started her healthcare career as a cardiovascular technologist in 2007. She decided to become a RN after her passion for patient care continued to flourish. In 2018, she received a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Florida. Nurse Sheltee strives daily to be the caregiver whom she would need and want to care for her. She embraces the golden rule as her mantra, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” If the world had more people like Nurse Sheltee, it would not just be a better place, it would be the best place.
During the global pandemic, Nurse Sheltee also served patients and family members. She witnessed first-hand the unfortunate casualties and realities of COVID-19.
When Nurse Sheltee removes her cape…Oops, her scrubs; she enjoys spending quality time with her family, long scenic walks, and taking relaxing vacations. She has been married to her best friend Mark for 10 years. They are the proud parents of two adult children.
